Easy to Apply

HydroSilex Recharge Application

  1. Spray an even mist onto a clean, dry surface. One small panel/section at a time.
  2. Immediately buff with a clean microfiber towel in a waving motion.
  3. Follow up with a second light buff using another clean microfiber towel in a waving motion.

Application Reminders

  1. Apply to a clean, cool, dry surface, clear from any wax or sealant residue.
  2. Apply to one panel/section at a time
  3. Always use a waving motion when buffing
  4. Do not allow Recharge or Marine to self dry on the surface.
  5. You can apply Recharge to all surfaces on the vehicle; paint, windows, tires, headlights etc.
  6. You can apply Marine to all exterior surfaces of the vessel; paint, gel coat, windshield, vinyl, brightwork etc.
  7. Do not spray product excessively onto surface, e.g. 3-6 oz Recharge per standard sized car. 32 oz Marine will do approx 3 coats per 20-25’ vessel.
  8. Clean wipers from any overspray.
  9. Always use clean, dry microfiber towels only!
  10. Do not apply in direct sunlight, strong winds or extreme heat.
  11. Store product in a climate controlled environment.

About Hydrosilex Recharge

Recharge is engineered to be used as both a maintenance coating for traditional coated surfaces or as a stand-alone protection. It works with any coating brand to help maintain gloss, self-cleaning, UV protection and slick surface feel. As a stand-alone, it also provides those features. 

HydroSilex Recharge creates an extremely slick surface which serves as a repellent from environmental contaminants, while providing UV protection against fading. 

HydroSilex Recharge is a ceramic-based coating, it is not designed to resist scratches like a conventional glass coating. 

HydroSilex Recharge is available to everyone. Both the professional installer and public consumer can purchase this product. Unlike some professional products that are only available to approved installers, we make our product available to everyone. We do not offer exclusivity on our products. 

By design, HydroSilex Recharge gives instant hydrophobic effect upon contact. Because it is engineered to be applied wet, the surface can be exposed to water immediately. Yes, HydroSilex Recharge creates a slick surface that is extremely hydrophobic and thus creating a self-cleaning surface that requires less maintenance. 

HydroSilex Marine is a higher concentration for a more porous surface such as a gelcoat.

Application / Use

HydroSilex Recharge can be used on virtually any surface. It can be applied to bare metal, stainless steel, aluminum, glass, plastic, wood, fiberglass, stone, marble tiles, automotive paint, gel coats and more. 

DRY APPLICATION (OUR SUGGESTED METHOD)

HydroSilex Rewind Application

1. Spray an even mist onto a clean, dry surface. 

2. Use high quality clean microfiber towels and buff free of residue.


HydroSilex Recharge Application

1. Spray an even mist onto a clean, dry surface. One small panel/section at a time. 

2. Immediately buff with a clean microfiber towel in a waving motion.

3. Follow up with a second light buff using another clean microfiber towel in a waving motion. 


HydroSilex Marine Application

1. Spray an even mist onto a clean, dry surface. One small panel/section at a time. 

2. Immediately buff with a clean microfiber towel in a waving motion.

3. Follow up with a second light buff using another clean microfiber towel in a waving motion. 


HydroSilex Silica Soap Application

1. Use 1 oz of Silica Soap per wash bucket or foam cannon and top up with warm water. 

2. Wash car as normal with a foam cannon or by hand using a sponge and dry the surface with a clean microfiber towel.

HydroSilex Recharge can last from 6 to 8 months, but will last indefinitely longer if used routinely as it was designed. The product is designed to be layered, so the more often it is used, the longer the durability and effect. 

14 days if it was baked or 30 days if it was air dried.

Yes, HydroSilex provides protection against oxidation and fading from UV exposure. 

Yes, HydroSilex Recharge is great for use on Paint Protection Film as those products do not have built in protection against UV exposure. It will help keep those surfaces easy to clean by creating a slick barrier, without the common build up by waxes and sealants on the edges of the film.

HydroSilex Recharge was designed to be continually used for maintenance and to have the ability to be layered. Which means that the product can be applied and will add an additional layer to the existing Recharge layer on the surface with each use. It is recommended to allow a week between applying a layer. 

Hydrosilex is an instantaneously curing product. Given that information applying in direct sun can cause the product to set too quickly causing high spots or an uneven coating on the vehicle. 

Yes, Hydrosilex is a multi-surface friendly product that can be used on almost any surface, including vinyl wraps; giving you the benefits that you have seen in our videos. 

A typical application will take approximately 4 to 6 ounces per vehicle depending on the size of the vehicle. For example, if you have a mid-size or sports car, a 16 ounce bottle will give you about 3 to 4 applications. For dry and wet applications, a light mist is all that is usually required. 

Recharge is designed as a replacement for traditional waxes and sealants. Our recommendation is to install Recharge as the sole product and not in conjunction with a wax or sealant. Those products will not add any additional benefits and can interfere with the features of Recharge. For automotive paints, if the vehicle requires claying, removing the contaminants will create an even slicker surface when using Recharge. 

Yes, you will need to strip all wax and other sealants prior to applying HydroSilex.
